Dyson DC65 Animal Review

The Dyson DC65 Animal is a uniquely designed vacuum cleaner that goes above and beyond carpets. Designed to run on both soft and hard floors, this model offers self-adjusting cleaner heads with a re-designed brush bar that allows the bristles to dig in even further to remove stuck in dirt and grime. It also still has the great Dyson technology that you have come to expect, such as the tangle-free turbine tool, Radial Root Cyclone technology, and the famous ball.

BEST pet hair pick up, extremely lightweight, long hose & Cord, TWO washable filters, 5 year full warranty
The new Dyson DC65 Animal was released onto the market in early 2014. The vacuum has many of the older features that customers have grown to enjoy. This includes the patented Ball technology and self-adjusting head for going over any type of floor surface. The vacuum also has a few new features and upgrades that they incorporated into the mix. The motor has been given an upgrade to handle even more suction power than previous series models were able to do. It also has had an upgrade to the brush bar to ensure it can handle even more dirt and debris.
Features & Benefits
§  New Brush Bar: The bristles on the brush have been made shorter and stiffer compared to previous models. This gives the brush the ability to pick up dirt and debris that are even further embedded into carpets. The brush bar was also extended to make sure it can clean along the edges of floor surfaces to pick all of the debris up without leaving any small lines of dust against a wall.
§  Ball Technology: The Ball technology uses a swivel motion that operators can use at the turn of a wrist. This enables the vacuum to be able to move around furniture and other tight spots that similar devices wouldn’t be able to handle. The motor also rests inside the ball to provide a thinner profile on the body to ensure it can fit into tighter spots.
§  Self-Adjusting Cleaner Head: The cleaning head is designed with the ability to raise and lower itself without the operator doing it manually. It can adjust while being moved over hard floors to lower itself, and then raise back up after it comes into contact with a carpet or rug. This makes sure the user does not have to waste extra time to change the height while going from room-to-room.
§  Accessories: The vacuum comes with the combination tool and stair case tool. The combination tool allows users to be able to get to hard to reach places, and can be turned into a duster for blinds and fans. The stair tool can grab debris out of hard to reach corners, and can also clean stair cases.
§  Radial Root Cyclone Technology: Normal vacuums with bags have a tendency to clog up after they start to fill up. This reduces the suction power the vacuum cleaner has as time goes along. The Cyclone technology pushes the debris up to the top of the trash bin while the user vacuums from room-to-room. This ensures it does not get clogged or lose suction power as the vacuum bin fills up.
Who is it best for? What are people saying?
The Dyson DC65 Animal was designed to be more lightweight than previous models. This makes it easier to move from each room as the user cleans around the house. It also has the tangle free turbine tool that ensures the vacuum will not get clogged up with pet hairs and other debris from cleaning floors. Although the motor is more powerful, it is also quieter compared to other devices. The price range on the vacuum is considerably higher than older Dyson models, but it is considered one of the upper tier vacuum cleaners.
Cons
§  Carrying: The vacuum has to be carried from room-to-room instead of being wheeled around as most people are used to doing. This has been an annoyance for some people who have purchased the device, and do not wish to carry it all over their house as they clean it.
§  Attachments: The vacuum does not have enough slots to fit all the attachments onto it. This makes it so the operator has to stop to go get a particular attachment they need to use on an area.
The Bottom Line
The new Dyson DC65 Animal is quite new. The price range on the vacuum may be a turn off to some who would rather purchase a less expensive device. The suction power is noticeably much better on these series of devices than previous models, and it can handle picking up any type of debris off of any floor surface. Highly recommended for a thorough, much more advanced cleaning of your floors.
